Maintenance
Left Engine 1969hrs SMOH in Sept 2017
Right engine 1473hrs SMOH in August 2018
Both props have 678hrs since fitment in Feb 2021 and the engines have had a strip and rebuild at that time.
Under Irish regulations, the engines can run to 2800hrs for flight training giving them the potential of 800 plus hours, and we think given their recent strip and rebuild it will be possible to achieve that.
The undercarriage on CMT was subject to a complete strip, and inspect repair as necessary costing over €25,000 which really stands to the aircraft.

Additional remarks
These PFD/MFD screens have been fitted in recent months, are still under warranty, and offer a photo sharp “six pack” dual screen replacement. An effective glass cockpit was vital to the role EI-CMT was fulfilling - teaching the next generation of airline and business jet pilots to fly IFR procedures.
We will happily send a soft copy of the time life component sheet by email.
The beauty of the Seneca is it can be operated below 2 tonnes, making for no Eurocontrol airways charges on IFR flights.
This aircraft was the flight school favourite of the 3 Piper Seneca’s they operated, perhaps it is the two-blade props and light 3171lbs basic empty weight.
If you had to use a short grass strip CMT has proven itself to be well up to the job.
Any Seneca without the Club Seating and Long Range Fuel is instantly less valuable but CMT has these options fitted.
With counter-rotating props, there is no critical engine in an engine-out emergency making the Seneca II suitable for training and safer for lower-time private pilots.
The Seneca II fulfils a role just above the Duchess/Seminole/Cougar/Comanche in its cost, but offers double rear doors and comfortable seating in the rear. This makes the aircraft ideal for charter, photography, scenic flights, family trips as well as flight training.
We would love to show you EI-CMT in the hangar at Cork Airport (EICK) and take some time to go through the logs to show you where the money was spent.
The current owner would happily deliver EI-CMT anywhere in the world, it was the aeroplane that was instrumental in building his successful flight training business.
